| The airbag srs control unit failed. the dashboard light notified us of the problem. the dealer replaced the unit; the total cost was $666.95. the car is only five years old and many owners would not have the money to replace the unit. no warranty coverage extends to safety equipment as a lengthy ten year warranty covers pollution systems. the dealer offered to disable the airbag system if we chose to not fix the control unit.*ak | |||
