| In may of 2002, i purchased a used 1999 honda odyssey from a reputable honda dealer in conway, ar. at the time of purchase, the car had 48,680 miles. the car was in excellent shape. approximately five months later, i noticed two things: my gears were slipping and my power steering fluid getting very low. on 10/29/02 (and 57,163 miles), i brought the vehicle to the honda dealer where i reside in monroe, la. it was determined from the technician that my power steering rack was leaking and that i had to replace my entire steering rack. thank goodness for the extended warranty! rack was replaced. *ak | |||

| At speeds 70 mph and greater, a severe vibration occurs in the steering wheel. the dealer told me it was due to the tires and that i should replace them. at approx 20,000 miles i decided to do so and the vibration went away. i have heard that honda is reimbursing some owners for the expense of new tires in this situation. i am looking for the same from honda.( dot number: ) | |||
