BRAKES
04/30/2012100000
I was driving with my 3 children and approached a stop sign. i pressed my brakes, and they completely froze. i could not push the pedal down. it was like stepping on a brick. it would not move down at all. i was slamming my foot down on the petal and nothing happened. fortunately, i was going slow at the time, after slamming the brakes numerous times, the pedal seemed to raise a bit and i was able to push it down. this has now happened 5 different times. i took it to a repair shop the same day it initially happened and they could not re-create the problem. it happened two more times and took it to our honda dealer. (burns honda), they said it fell into a recall and fixed the problem. two weeks later it happened again, this time there were two cars in front of me and i had to use the emergency brake. my car is back at the honda dealer where they are going to try to once again re-create the problem. i feel my car is a death trap. i am afraid to drive it. i am afraid i am going to get in a terrible accident and hurt myself, my family or someone else. something needs to be done. i am not sure where to go for help. i called the service director 3 times after researching brakes issues on the internet and believe i have an issue with the vacuum release. the service director agreed that he thought that that was the problem, but wasn't sure how to fix it.
