Well in july 2012 i was driving my honda when i heard noise (sounded like a muffler leak) hit a small dip in the road then a pop and then loud noise coming from engine. i took it immediately to the repair shop and they said the catalytic converter had blown a hole in it self. they said they had never seen anything like it. well here it is january 2013 and just last week the other side (my car has two converters, lucky me) did the exact same thing. this is just the weirdest thing ever and so very expensive to fix. is this normal? i don't think so and no one can give me an explanation on why this is happening. i need some help please.

I had my vehicle inspected during a routine oil change. the mechanics showed me extensive corrosion on the frame of my vehicle. they said it was unsafe to drive. after doing research online i found out a recall for a suspension bracket expired. but i also found out several other owners had extensive corrosion and honda was working with them on the frame corrosion which was identified during the recall but was not part of the recal. i called honda and the dealership and they said since the recall expired they would not do anything. again, it appears honda knows of more than usual/severe corrosion of the frame on this vehicle and has dealt with a few consumers on it. but when i ask they say there is nothing they can do. i need help. it appears there is a bigger problem than what they initially started the recall for.

Went to my mechanic to have a new alternator put in and when he had it up on the lift noticed severe rust on the frame. he notified me that the vehicle was unsafe to drive and recommended getting rid of it. i told him i could not because i had purchased the vehicle a year ago and still owed money on it. after doing some research i realized that this was apparently a common issue with these vehicles. i have taken my vehicle to a couple welding shops and one of them told me it was too risky to try and repair it and the other told me they could try and do some repairs, but of course could not gaurantee that it would last any longer. my vehicle was origanilly puchased in ohio which was one of the states included in the recall and it remained in that state until 2010.

Frame has now rusted through on fake honda passport, actually we find out it is isuzu rodeo that has been nothing but a money pit for the last five years! ie: excess oil usage, transmission troubles, fuel sensor erratic, brakes go out fast, and many other things. however, isuzu and honda have known about this problem since 1998 and have been letting over 200,000 of drive around in a very unsafe vehicle! my dealer just looked at it last year and now it is stage 4 cannot be repaired and they are repairing some that shouldn't be. i have recently in vested a lot of money in a vehicle that should be declared unsafe at any speed and the owners should be compensated with treble damages by honda and isuzu asap!!!!!

The frame is rusting out from the middle of the vehicle to the rear. the problem is with the frame not the brackets. the drivers side trailing arm that holds the rear axle in place fell off the frame due to frame rusting away. the rest of the vehicle is good. the frame has a problem. at 180000 miles the frame rusted out letting the coil spring mount on the drivers side separate and rest against the body floor. the frame has a problem.

I own a 1999 honda passport and the frame is rusted bad on both sides of the frame between the rear tires and will not pass inspection. i have seen this is a complaint that is not new so this obviously is something that should be taking care of by honda.
