I have a 2006 honda shadow aero 750cc motorcycle. sometime when i start it up it will run for a couple of minutes and then cut off and will not start back. this has happened 4 times now in the last year. once while i was on the road driving and 3 times while i have had the bike running to warm up. i let it set for awhile about an hour or so and it will start back up and run good. i know that there has been a recall on some of the petcocks on our bikes. i have taken the vin # to the dealer and had them check to see if mine was one of the ones on recall. they have said no. i have taken the petcock off and taken it to the dealer to check it and they have stated that there is nothing that they can do because it is not one on recall. it is not dripping or leaking. i am in a forum where we all have the same bikes and quite a few of us are experiencing the same thing and it is all traced back to the petcock. i feel that this is a danger to us when riding in heavy traffic and the petcock stops working and we are stuck out in the middle of rush hour traffic.... *tr | |||
