We have battling the problem of the sunroof leaking on our hummer. there is drain tubes in the corners of the sunroof this water is supposed to go do these tubes then on the ground. how ever this is not the case. in most cases the water leaks down the pillars in the trucks dash compartment and soaks the carpet on both sides and the head liner. we have had it to the dealership on several accessions and they just say they were stop up but they just leak the next day like nothing has even been done. they charge 300 dollars to do this. i have the technician tell me that nothing he has done will fix this off the record..whe the water is pouring in there is nothing you can do the onstar goes off and your lights on the inside go dim we have had the cpu short out due to water the blower controller both front speakers and behind the dash all the metal parts are covered in rust. when the electrical parts shorted out the wires were burnt and we were driving when this happened on one occasion and had to have it towed. we have tried everything taken it the dealership did not help. the truck is allways damp inside. then of course the smell of the carpets. i even have contacted gm and just said take to the dealership and they are gona charge the same thing. i am scared for my wife and family to drive this truck. we will not even leave in the garage due the risk of fire. if you google this problem there is over 60k topics on this and forum after forum about it. and every is saying this. it is obvious that this is a design flaw and gm is not going to stand behind this. i think something should done about this before something very bad happens to someone in these trucks. i just want it fixed nothing else.

I have owned this truck since 2009, and it seems to be a common problem with the sunroof drain tubes clogging. when my vehicle was under warranty, and was going in for it's scheduled pmis i would have them blow the drain tubes out with air, but the clogging is now becoming more frequent, and the water if not removed can cause havoc with the cloth, electrical & flooring. last week i had a mildew smell because of all the rain we have had, and the water built up in the sunroof drain area. these tubes are a desing flaw, and this should also be a recall, as the water will be the main cause for problems in this situation.

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 hummer h3. the contact stated that rain water began to flood the vehicle while driving. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for a diagnosis. the contact was informed that due to the drain lines being too small, they would need to be retro-fitted at the consumer's expense. the manufacturer was notified of the issue and offered a credit towards her next purchase of one of their newer vehicles. the vehicle was repaired at the owner's expense. the failure and current mileages were 105,000. kmj

Vehicle blower motor failed. other reports on the internet show that this is a problem with this year and make. the wiring melts and causes the motor fan to fail.

This has actually happened several times. water drainage for the sunroof system get clogged really easily and fast. water will spill out from water tray and will run over the ceiling and fall through the roof mic (used for onstar), located directly above the driver's face. when driving and turning, water will move side ways and it will spill through the mic and sunroof window interior opening, soaking the driver while driving. not safe at all. drainage design is flaw, and it keeps clogging after fixing it.

Tl- the contact owns a 2006 hummer h3. the contact stated the vehicle displayed a warning message of 'reduced power service stabilizer system tracking failed' and at the point the vehicle won't accelerate past forty mph. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and was repaired but the error message and failure recurred a second time and was then told by the dealer and general motors company they did not know what the problem was with the vehicle. the failure and current mileages were 70,000. dt

Very very common problem with gm products and excessive problem with h3 heaters. you smell something burning in your vehicle then your heater fan starts fluctuating and ultimately stops. there are reports that the dealership will fix the burnt plug, but it won't fix the problem, it'll burn up again. now i have no heater in january in ohio this should be a recall !!!!!!!!!

After heavy rain excessive amounts of water pool inside vehicle. drain plugs have been cleaned out multiple times. although water continues to lay inside the track of the moon roof as well as drain onto the floor and sometimes onto the driver's side seat (depending on how the vehicle is parked). based on the forums regarding h3's this appears to be a common problem. why hasn't gm done anything to resolve it???

The blower on my 2006 hummer h3 stopped working while driving down the highway and we smelled a burnt plastic smell when the blower stopped. the smell eventually went away, but the blower never worked again. i found that this is a huge issue for not just hummer owners, but other gm vehicle owners. the resistor and plastic clip were melted together and when disconnected, fire damage was evident. this resistor for the ac blower is located right under the glove compartment and luckily nothing flammible was close to this when is blew while driving down the highway. i also have pictures of the damage and subsequent danger this issue poses. othere posts of people seeing this issue. http://www.hummerforums.com/forum/hummer-h3-17/air-conditioning-problem-grrr-16020/page2/#post264883

I have a 2006 hummer h3, every few weeks or so the motor will turn over but will not start. i let it sit for a while and then it will start. i have taken it to both the dealer and another mechanic but neither can find anything wrong with it. about 6 months ago, i got a new battery thinking that would solve the issue but it has not.
