Right rear trailing arm bolt had been broken for quite some time. bolt is rusted and pitted, 3 mechanics, a welder, and a tool maker all concur that it must have been broken for well over a year. the bolt is the one that connects the trailing arm to the frame. it had been broken for long enough to pull through the frame tearing it. bolt had been working free for that time. had it not been for a noise previous to the bolt coming free and the slow speed the whole rear end would have probably come apart resulting in (at interstate speed) injury and most probably a fatality. | |||
