| 2010 hyundai elantra. consumer writes in regards to a frayed wire *tgw the consumer stated at the end of april, his wife began to notice that each time the car was being driven. there was smoke in the interior, and the smell of something burning. she brought the matter to the consumer's attention after observing scorched areas of the overhead material, lining the underside of the roof. additionally, she noticed that the plastic of the overhead light fixture was visibly melted and distorted. the dealer stated the damage was caused by frayed wiring, but they did not find any burnt wires. *jb | |||
