| Defect Summary | Hyundai is recalling 185 aftermarket expressway 996 (p/n 00285-03000) and expressway 995 (p/n 00285-03001) hitch style bike racks received from thule, inc. in january and february 2005. a pinch bolt exists between the bike arm bracket and the upright assembly of the hitch style bicycle rack. | |||||||||||||||
| Consequence Summary | When moving the bike arm bracket to its down position, this pinch bolt has the potential of causing severe laceration or amputation to the user's fingertips or hand. | |||||||||||||||

| Headlights on low beam the lights only reach out 65-75 feet and then there is a solid dark horizon line with no light what so ever above this line. at highway speed of 65 mph this lighting dose not give the driver enough time to avoid a problem. contacted hyundai and they are not willing to admit to the problem or do anything about it. after research the solution is to add h i d lighting to the car hyundai say that if it is installed they will not horner any fix any repair claims on the car. i drive 100 miles a day in the dark and this is out and out dangerous. some thing needs to be done about this a s a p. *tr | |||
