| Tl- the contact owns a 2005 hyundai sonata. the contact stated that when shifting into park while driving at any speed, the engine rpms would increase abnormally as the vehicle would independently accelerate. the failure recurred intermittently. the contact shifted into neutral to coast to the shoulder. the engine was shut off and when restarted, the vehicle returned to normal function. the vehicle was taken to a mechanic, who performed a diagnostic but was unable to locate a failure code. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and the current mileage was 184,000. kmj | |||
