My sunvisor on the drivers side dropped down and will not go back to the upright position. this is the third time my sunvisor has broken. one on the passenger side and twice on the drivers side. i have spent 100 dollars replacing the other side. i do not have any children in my car, it is just myself and my husband. this is ridiculous that it broke for no apparent reason. i have a 2004 huundai elantra and have never had problems with the visors.

I have had three door handles break off of this car. the first was 3/12/2012; the second 3/26/2012; and the third was 9/4/2012. the break was the same on the last two cause me not to access entry. the handle has a defect at a mold point that snaps off leaving the handle in the hand of the owner completely detached. the dealer and corp offices refuse to assist claiming it is out of warranty.

Driver's side sun visor is defective and is creating a dangerous situation.the visor began dropping from the up position toward the ceiling. it would not stay up. its bottom was right at my line of vision. i took the car to the hyundai dealer and had missed the bumper to bumper 5 yr. or 60k warranty by 3 days! they said it would cost $100 to replace and install. today while driving my husband was trying to move it out of his line of vision and we heard a noise and the whole thing just lost all it's support. he was able to take it off and we were hoping to find screws we could just tighten, but that wasn't the case. now, with it just hanging it interferes with my view and is a hazard. there needs to be a recall on these!!! i don't have $100 to spend on a manufacturer defect. from what i've read online, this has been a constant problem for the sonota. the only other hyundai owner is my neighbor; they had the same thing happen on their new car. can you help us????

Sun visors suddenly broke and fell into driver's field of vision. even when snapped into upright position, they drop and block visibility. this issue has not been experienced in any other vehicle. this is a safety concern and should be a recall item as research indicates that this has been a known issue for some time.

The passenger visor will not stay up and although this is not a safety hazard, i have been told (by hyundai service) that this is a wide spread problem in the vehicles for both the passenger and driver visor. i looked this up and found that there are many complaints about the visors and it should be a recall item.

I am writing to complain that both of my sun visors in my 2007 hyundai sonata will not stay in the upright position. from researching this problem it sounds like i am among thousands of hyundai sonata owners having the very same issue. i contacted my local hyundai dealership and they said this item is not covered by the warranty, or extended warranty, and the cost will be over $100 each! this is ridiculous. this is a safety issue, and i believe that it should be a covered item, or better yet, it should be a recalled defect!! thank you.

The sun visor on driver side fell down will not stay up. the sun visor on passenger side was replaced at last service and withing warranty. manually have the extension slide bar hitting rear view mirror in order to have visor stay out of driving view interference but does not block the bright sun light now. google and bing searches this is a known defect with the heat and design of the sun visors.

Sun visor does not stay in poition and drops which blocks vision. safety issue. manufacturer will charge for repair but this is clearly an defective part issue,as there is a recall if you live in southern states.

 Sun visor broken while driving.

2007 sonata less than 60,000 miles both sun visor passanger and driver side will not stay up. the bracket within the visor crack and is un fixable. both visors will have to be replaced. the sun visor that will not stay up is a safety hazard and vehicles visors should be recalled

Every time the brake pedal is pressed the car seems to power down. the headlights dim, dash lights dim, fan slows, and inside car lights dim. this happens everytime it's pressed. the lights seem to dim more if you are driving at a faster pase and press harder on the brakes verse driving slowly and easing onto the brake pedal. the battery has been replaced and checked over several times for any sort of defect. also the alternator has been replaced recently and checked over for any defects. these were replaced because they were thought to be the problem but the problem still occurs everyday everytime the brake pedal is pressed.

I was driving my 2007 hyundai sonata, and my husband was in the passenger seat. without being touched, the passenger side sun visor dropped down into his field of vision. he tried to put it back up, but it would not stay in place and continued to fall down. i contacted my dealer and found out they have seen this happen many times with both the passenger side and driver side sun visors. this could be extremely dangerous, especially when the driver side visor breaks. having it drop into the driver's field of vision while he is driving down the road could easily cause an accident. the dealer said that the driver side visor could fail at any time, but they would not replace it until such time that it did fail. my passenger side visor was replaced under warranty, but i still wanted to bring attention to this potentially dangerous problem with the visors in the hyundai sonata.

My 2007 sonata has a serious safety problem. the sun visors will not stay up and fall at random times. i have velcro attached and it still will not stay up. causes a large problem as you are driving down the street and it falls in your face.

Driver-side sunvisor droops down blocking partially the filed of view while driving. the sunvisor does not stay its upright position, which it should when not in use.

Both sun visors on my 2007 hyundai sonata are broke. they will not stay in an up position and fall foward while i'm driving. i fear that this will cause an accident at some point.

The driver side sun visor / shade on 2007 hyundai sonata has stopped staying in the 'up' position. it flops down obstructing the driver's view of the road and oncoming traffic. i discovered that a lot of people have exactly the same complaint. this is an extremely dangerous problem and needs to be addressed quickly. a replacement after market part is hard to find

Sun visors on both sides of 2007 hyundai sonata won't stay up. both made cracking noises and no longer operate correctly. driver's side hangs in my line of vision.

2007 hyundai sonata driver side sun visor keeps falling into my field of view. every few seconds. all day long. it is a distraction and falls directly in front of my face. i have found hundreds of posts on the internet about this problem. i can't figure out a way to keep it from falling into my field of view without resorting to duct tape. i am constantly pushing it up,down, sideways. i might as well be texting. dealer acknowledged that it was a very common problem and offered to fix it for 135.00. same bad visor with bad design.
05/28/201062491
While driving both visors above windshield fall, obstructing drivers view and causing distraction. i have a 2007 hyundai sonata and had the drivers side visor replaced twice and the drivers side visor is going to be replaced today for the 3rd time. i nearly went off interstate when visor fell down, due to the distraction caused. my hyundai dealer informed me this is a very common problem and they have been keeping visors in stock. my dealer did not have an answer as to what, if anything, is being done to correct the root cause of the problem. i find it disturbing that through doing a search on the internet for hyundai visor problems, there are others experiencing the same problem and there does not seem to be a permanent solution offered. this could potentially result in injury, or loss of life, not only in my vehicle, but in other vehicles indirectly involved in an accident as a result of the problem mentioned.

The sun visors in my car worked fine and then the next both of them stopped working. the sun visors will not stay in the up position and hand down in my line of sight which limits my vision. recently, this failure of the sun visor caused me to run a red light because i could not see up.

2007 hyundai sonata - driver's side sun visor will not stay up or down. has to be tied in up position or hits driver in the forehead. very annoying, potential safety issue. dealer says - if vehicle under 60,000 miles, will replace under warranty. seeing internet full of same problems, looks like it should be a safety recall free to owner no matter how many miles.

I purchased my car on may 27, 2007, in florida. as my mother and i were in the car one day she noticed the air bag light was on, even though she was sitting in the front seat. i took the car to a hyundai dealership in september, in florida, and told them about the problem. they found no problems. i was with my mother again after that and the light came on again. i took the car to a different hyundai dealership in the beginning of november in florida, and told them about the problem. they again found no problems & they told me that depending on how much my mother weighs the system may not register that an adult was sitting in the front seat. my mother weighs about 130lbs. in late november i was moving to virginia. before i left florida, i took the car to the 1st hyundai dealership and told them the problem again. and they too told me that my mother's weight was the problem. i was very annoyed, but i didn't really have the time to follow up on the situation, especially since i was in the middle of moving to a new state. i am now settled in virginia and last week i received hyundai's motor vehicle recall on the 2007 hyundai sonata vehicles because of the occupant classification system (ocs) in the vehicles. how funny, this was the same problem that i had in florida. so i took the vehicle to the hyundai dealership in virginia and they told me that according to the paperwork that they received from hyundai, they need the passenger with the problem to come to the dealership so that they could test the system. this is a little difficult for me seeing as how my mother lives in florida. they told me if i wasn't satisfied then i could call the hyundai customer assistance center. i did and they are telling me to wait until i have another passenger seated in the front seat and the light doesn't come on again. that is a dangerous situation. if we know there is a problem with my vehicle why would we wait until someone possibly getting hurt to fix the problem. *tr
