2000 hyundai tiburon problems with seat belts. both passenger and driver side seat belts do not function as they are supposed to. the belts get stuck in their harnesses and you can't pull-out or put it back. you have to adjust the harness and the stuck belt to be able to get it to work. the car has already been through one recall on this issue but the repair did not fix the issue. this has been a problem since the first day i bought the car in december 2008.

I purchased a 2000 tiburon approx.june 2001 with 9600 miles already. since i bought it i've been finding problems and i've taken it for service about 7 times already. they've replaced the lamp above on the roof that melted and broke once, they fixed the vessel glass 3 times already because it keeps cracking, while replacing the vessel glass (the glass that protects the odometer and other needless indicators) they broke my ac, heater, cruise control, rear defrost, front defrost. the seat belt was a recall. until now the car is in the shop getting the ac, defrost problem fixed.

My seatbelts get twisted or won't extract or retract 99 out of 100 times. i have had my headlights burnout numerous times and keep having to replace them. they need to be replaced every 2-3 months and it is at my expense as the dealer states it isn't covered under my warranty. one usually blows and then a week later the other side follows, this only happens with my low beams. i will turn my ac on and it will either run hot or if it runs cold at all it only stays cold for a few minutes. the dealer stated it wasn't covered under warranty and wouldn't even look at it. i have had my front driver's side tire lose air and blow out the first time about 3 times now. i have had to replace the tire each time and have bought different manufacturers. the dealer stated it may have something to do with the car. my pwr windows and pwr door locks on the drivers side has had to be replaced a couple of times and still doesn't work. my pwr locks never work and occassionally my pwr windows will. as for the battery portion, the dealer stated it could be the battery combined with other things. my car will all of a sudden not start and i have to have it towed to a dealer. they will hook a computer up to it and seem to get confusing results. they have had to contact the hyundai corporation numerous times to solve the problem. it has occured several times though so it still hasn't been fixed.
