| My vehicle was parked in my driveway when i opened the rear hatch. the hinges suddenly disintegrated, busted right off. the rear window fell out striking me. the only way it was being held up and kept from falling to the ground, was by its shocks that keep window up when opened. i see that are numerous reports on this matter from various times. is there some kind of recall on this problem? | |||

| As i was driving down the highway, i noticed that one of the windows in my 2005 hyundai tucson sounded like it had been rolled down. almost immediately, my daughter yelled, our window is coming off! i had just enough time to look in my rearview mirror to see the right rear quarter panel window being held on by just a small strip of some sort of adhesive. in less than a second, the window flew off, began pinwheeling through the air and narrowly missed the vehicle just behind me. even the repairman at the hyundai dealership that replaced the window for me was speechless when i told him what happened. i contacted hyundai, and all they would tell me is that my car is out of warranty. while it would have been nice for them to offer to pay for the repair, i was much more concerned with their lack of concern for anything other than the fact that the vehicle was out of warranty. they did not ask for any details or offer any concern for the possible damage and/or loss of life that could easily have occurred had that window hit the car behind me. | |||

| I brought my car to the mechanic for an oil change and he stated that the oil pan gasket is rotting/corroding and is close to leaking. he said this shouldn't happen in a 5 year old vehicle and that it is defective. there should be a recall on it. | |||

| The rear window hinges rust out. one hinge rusted out and now the other. if both had gone the window would have fallen out, if on the highway could have been quite serious. | |||

| I own a 2005 bought brand new hyundai tucsan. today we went to put something in the hatch using the window and it fell into my hands. the latches are so caroded that they just fell off. this should not be happening to a 6 yr old vehichle. | |||

| While driving in the rain the battery light and brake light come on, the steering wheel freezes and power seems to lessen in the car. after a a few seconds the steering resumes. has occured during a turn, making the car go straight. there is no power over the steerign when this occurs, however, the brakes do work. the steering wheel becomes extremely rigid where it cannot be turned. has happended on at least 3 different occasions. almost hit by another car three times. the car has been taken back to the dealer two other times with no relief. they do not seem to know how to fix it. i have seen this on this site under steering: hydraulic power assist system | |||
