See oid 10434752. same issue. had problems getting vehicle into park. that issue appears resolved. however, one day the stereo was staying on for a few seconds after the car was turned off. two days later, there was no audio from the stereo, gps or bluetooth. they all appear to be working (radio changes stations/volume, gps operates normally and i can make calls using bluetooth), there is just no audio output. when i took the vehicle to the dealer, they did not do any diagnostics aside from turning on the stereo before telling me the stereo needed to be replaced and that is not under warranty, factory or extended. there have been some other unusual electrical issues like the turn signal remaining on after the lever went back to the off position and there being a delay or complete failure of the automatic headlights.

After having a service on my 2010 hyundai tucson, 2 days later the esc indicator light came on, and the dbc indicator light came on, and the shifter was hard to put into gear. took it in and they changed the shifter. about 2 weeks later the same two lights came on again, only this time when you pressed on the gas the rpm would shoot up but the car wouldn't move, and the brakes were locked. the car was towed and the map sensor was changed. when i was told the car was fixed i came in to test drive the car and the check engine light was on. i did not take the car. the next day the car was given back to me and the light was off. 2 weeks later the same problem happened again. i was told that the brakes needed to be bled, after a few days the car was given back to me. 4 weeks later the same problem accured again, and the car was towed, another part was changed again. i know that the shop i am working with is trying their best to fix the problem, but the car is scary to drive. at any time the esc and dbc light will come on, and the brakes will lock, and when you press the gas the rmp will shoot up and the car won't move. twice now this has happened to be on a main highway and i do good to pull over before someone hits me.

Issue: the interior plastic cover attached to the shifter located next to the cup holders will crumple-up after some soda is spilled on it - creating a safety issue because the crumpled plastic will make it difficult or prohibit the shifter to be placed in park or drive. if weak individual encounters this condition on a sloped surface the car may roll up or down the slope because while it may be difficult to place it in park or drive - the car can be placed in neutral. this all started when on a april 1, 2011, friday trip from cedar park, to corpus christi, tx. i stopped and picked up a burger and coke. i placed the coke in the cup holder and continued on my trip- some of the coke spilled because the lid came loose. i secured the lid on the cup and wiped down the area where the coke had spilled. on april 2, 2011 saturday, i noticed that the it was hard to shift but did not think much of it . i returned to cedar park on april 3, sunday. by april 4, monday, the shifter plastic was a crumpled mess and i had to use a box cutter to cut through the plastic so i could place the car in park or drive. i took my car to the hyundai dealership where i bought it, and dropped it off to be serviced. so i was surprised and disappointed when the service advisor, called and said that the service manager had directed she tell us that because some liquid had been spilled on the plastic causing it to become sticky - that the repair was not covered by warranty and that we would have to pay $250.00. there is no excuse for any amount of spilled soda to cause the plastic shift cover to crumple and impede proper operation of the gear shifter. this is a design and engineering flaw which could possibly result in injury or death. a recall to correct and repair this problem needs to be initiated.
