AIR BAGS - FRONTAL

Passenger airbag light goes off due to something getting touched under the seat. many times when under warranty, they reset it. but it is no longer under warranty i called to hyundai to see if this is a defect and to see if the light on means their is no airbag working and complain that if my kid put his foot under the passenger chair or if a book went under it, it shouldn't trigger the airbag to shut off but no one ever got back to me. i called up the dealer and found out that the light on does mean the airbag is off and they are not aware of a recall but this happens a lot. i think it is a defect . why would make it so that anything can get under the seat to trigger wires to turn off important things.. i would hate to get in an accident and not have a passenger airbag... i am not sure when this first started and if st charles hyundai kept track of each time they fixed it for me. *tr
