Air bag light came on upon starting up one morning and remained on ever since. i have checked all connections and they are intact. from many other complaints, the airbag likely is no longer operational. i have seen hundreds of complaints from other owners having similar issues online and at website http://www.consumeraffairs.com/automotive/hyundai_airbags.html dealers range of causes range from simply moving the drivers seat causing a connection failure to defective airbag module on many other vehicle types as well. this exact identical issue occurs with owners as far back as the first year of ownership through many years later. from the overwhelming examples sited online, there is an electrical and/or airbag control module issue that must be addressed. it is negligent to have so many hyundai owners have their airbags fail to deploy in accidents and for it to suddenly indicate failure. the government must take action before people get killed from a known defect of airbags. how can the nhtsa allow such a large number of known safety defects of airbag deployment failures to occur without action? this can be very dangerous and deadly to live in even low speed crashes and can be avoided with correction.
