Consequence SummaryThis standard is to reduce traffic accidents and deaths and injuries resulting from traffic accidents, by providing adequate illumination of the roadway, and by enhancing the conspicuity of motor vehicles on the public roads so that their presence is perceived and their signals understood, both in daylight and in darkness or other conditions of reduced visibility.

 On our 2003 infiniti fx 35, the four position rotary switch that controls the headlights is loacted at the end of the directional signal (turn blinker) lever. it has four positions, off, auto, parking lights and full headlights. it takes very little rotational pressure to turn it betwen these sele*akctions. on three occasions, while activating the turn blinker, the headlights switch has turned from auto to off, leaving the car with the headkights off at night.*ak
