| The audio and temperature controls do not operate as expected. when using the audio equipment or the temperature controls, the unit becomes inoperative.there is already a voluntary service campaign for this, however infiniti told me that our car's vin number does not qualify even though it's the exact same situation and identical year/make/model of car. | |||

| The controls on my center console where the a/c and radio are stopped working. the radio turned off by itself and came back on less then a minute later but none of the buttons were illuminating. my heat went from 77 degrees on the lowest setting on the face vents, to 87 degrees on auto a/c to the highest setting and switched to the foot vents. it has done this before, but it has always come back to life if you will, within 10 minutes. it has now been like this for four days, blasting cold air into my car on 33 degree days. i understand infiniti recalled the board that they poorly designed only on the sedans. this board design is definitely a safety issue, living in the midwest, and being my only mode of transportation. when winter hits, and temperatures really fall, and my car is only blowing out cold air, and worst of all on my feet, i will not be able to defrost my windows properly. it just does not make sense to me why infiniti would recall a part in one car that is the exact same in another it just has two doors. its like paying someone to paint the inside of your house. the reason you chose them is because you found them to be loyal and trustworthy. come to find out the painter only painted half of your house and took a few valuables on his way out. i just hope a lawyer sees some good money in a class action lawsuit because i know i do. *tr | |||

| While driving my car the radio completly cut off and the air conditioning came on at full blast... i cannnot control anything on the dash such as climate defrosted or turning the darn thing off. it is a safety concern because it was raining and my window were all fogged up and i couldnt clear them. i could not see out of my front or back windows. i have read many complaints online about the samething some will be hurt if infiniti doesnt do anything to resolve this. i have no clue to why they havent recalled or recalled only a few of this car to fix the problem.it seems to be the norm. if you call the dealearship they will only charge you a mint to replace the part that will only break again. please help before someone is hurt or killed | |||

| Infiniti g35 ac and audio panel not working, as thousands of others are experiencing. cannot drive the car in inclimate weather due to the inability to control the temperature or engage the defrost so i can see out the windows. very dangerous - threat to my safety as well as other drivers around me. it's the audio finisher circuit board that has failed. the dealer just wants to install a new radio. either of these repairs will be at my own expense. unable to get infiniti consumer affairs to assist in any way whatsoever. vin not covered under the voluntary recall campaign - falls just out of range. every one of these cars have the same faulty components. unclear why only a select few vins were recalled. thousands of us have complained. why is nothing done about this issue? | |||

| My infiniti car's(g35 2003) radio/ac controls have failed. i can only operate the radio from my steering wheel control.( cannot operate the ac/heater. luckily it is winter time and is stuck in auto mode at 68 f) it seems that infiniti had a recall for audio controller card failure in 2003 -itb03-007b service campaign -voluntary service campaign 2003 infiniti g35 sedan; audio finisher circuit board for about 26 000 vehicles, but, based on no of complaints floating on the web, there are lot more cars which are facing this problem. prior to this problem i have had the cd error fo problem ( complete cd failure). infiniti has installed faulty radio/cd system and they have taken their customers for a big ride! the nhtsa should take this up seriously as this failure could potentially can be fatal , especially when driving in extreme conditions-hot or cold weather , with small kids/infants, in an isolated region. | |||

| Like thousands of other g35s, my vehicle's radio and air conditioning controls have become unresponsive. the panel's light goes off and none of the buttons work. the air conditioning unit resets itself to 75 degreens and auto climate, which promptly ramps up and goes full blast, with no way to turn it off. this problem also drains the battery while the car is off. before i was aware of this battery draining, i was at a gas station at midnight in the freezing cold, when the car would no longer start. i was never told about the problem by infiniti, and they did have a recall for this but for a very small range of vins. according to my dealer, this is one of their most common jobs and non-warranty covered repairs will come up to $1300. searching online reveals many threads with hundreds of posts about this very same issue. apparently getting the repair may not solve the problem and it may resurface 3-4 months later. this should be recalled, as it could potentially be very dangerous. i'm lucky i don't live in an area where there is snow or freezing temperatures. you can get stuck out there with no battery. | |||

| When i turned on the bose radio, the air conditioner went on full blast and the whole control panel went out. i was entering the freeway and this caused a dangerous situation(no speedometer, defroster, etc.). needless to say, without use of defroster, this situation can be fatal! i have read the edmunds forum regarding this issue(and also nhsta complaints) and this problem seems to be quite common. apparently infiniti recalled some 2003 models(made before june 2002) but since mine was made in nov. 2002 it is not included. the fix i have read about costs $1500-$2000(and some of these have failed again with no more help from infiniti). your help in getting every 2003 g-35 recalled and fixed permanently would be appreciated. | |||

| My problem relates to nhtsa standard no. 103, windshield defrosting and defogging systems. i have read complaints to nhtsa from many g35 owners, only a few stating the unsafe driving condition created when they cannot turn on the windshield defogger. i cannot operate the windshield defogger on my car and have experienced fogging while driving in rain. i do not understand why my car's problem has not been addressed/investigated; i see no action from nhtsa, yet there is currently a general motors recall addressing the same problem with some 2011 gm vehicle defogging systems, nhtsa campaign id 11v149000 same as general motors safety recall no. 11057. as most 2003 model g35 owners know, the g35 recall (service campaign itb03-007b) for the audio finisher addressed only vehicles manufactured before august 2002; mine was made 3 months later. the problem i'm having is likely caused by a different electronic component, but the end result is the same: no defog/defrost operability. repair of the hvac/bose system at a local shop was quoted $250 minimum, an aftermarket stereo would require a special $200 dash kit in addition to the price a receiver, plus a special adapter to integrate the steering wheel control buttons. i called infiniti customer service to ask about a good will program for cars out of warranty, but that requires a dealership diagnostic, quoted at $140 with no guarantee they will replace the unit. the infiniti g35 is a car manufactured for sale in the continental us with this safety defect, and infiniti wants more of my money to fix it. not fair. | |||

| I have a 2003 infiniti g35. i have experienced complete fault on all dash controls (heater/ac, radio, cd, fan). when this occurred, the radio went off, the fan blower went up and everything else off. i could not control anything. it eventually went back to normal, but randomly occurs - always very inconvenient and not safe. i called infiniti because my neighbor that has the same exact vehicle had this problem months ago, and had it repaired at the infiniti dealership free of charge through a recall (which neither of us received -she found the recall online). infiniti told me they cannot repair my car because it is not part of the recall - and they mentioned the cost to repair is in excess of $1000. i ask why, if i have the same make/model as others that have been repaired, and because there are hundreds, perhaps thousands, of the exact same complaints online and other places, why would my car not be repaired? apparently their recall only includes '03 models manufactured prior to a particular date. how rediculous! this is a safety issue due to the inability to control the defrost and the windows can fog immediately, not to mention that the ac could begin blowing full force duriing cold weather, or not at all during very hot weather. the problem occurs randomly, and the driver has absolutely no control of any dash controls. it should be repaired free of charge without question! | |||

| @003 infiniti g35 coupe 3rd brake light is out (inside glass). this is a common issue with the g35. it needs to be brought to nissan of america's attention. this could possibly cause an accident. i have seen that 28 people have filed a complaint to you on my car forum. but i feel that this issue needs to be addressed asap. if it were just one car with the issue then i would gladly pay for it, but since this is a common issue, nissan of america needs to fix this as it was a production issue. | |||

| I have infiniti g35 and have had the same control problems with the radio/ac/defrost /fan controls. i know there was a recall in 2003 that was not mandatory but stated dealerships should replace these circuit board units as a safety concern and for the safety of their customers. the dealer ship..inskip- warwick ri - claims my car does not meet the problem and it is my radio that needs replacing for $900 even though my radio works through the steering column and i can control sound, modes and stations. how can it be that it is the radio and not the circuit board which they admit is an issue in other g35's. this is obviously a safety issue, infiniti has sent recall regarding this, the dealership admits there are problems with boards and yet they will not relace these units....i feel soimething needs to be done as it is impossible to control defrosting during the winter months. will it take someone to be injured or killed to get some action. | |||

| I bought this car used, should have checked this site first. i now have to replace my brakes once a year because they wear prematurely. that is a $1000 job. only have has the car for 3 years. last year in 09, the cd player stopped working with 6 cd's stuck in the changer, i had nationwide infinity look into this, when they said it would be $1400 to fix, but my year car has these problems. so i said forget it, i do not have this kind of money sitting around. then couple months after that, the radio would shut off by it self a couple times a week and come right back on. then just the other day, being june 5th 2010 my radio would not come on at all and i now have no control over my air condition. it is stuck on 70 full blast. now wasting a ton of gas also. i called nationwide to make an appt, when i discussed the issue, the service advisor then said let me guess, 2003 g35 i said oh, so you know this issue, he said yes we see it all the time, your looking at !600 to fix! i then call infinity headquarter to file a complaint to have them take care of the issue due to it being a known issue with no recall. im a single mom, so not have this money laying around. i think its a huge safety issue due to me not having any control over the front or rear defrosters! i am contacting all local news stations to get some help! *tr | |||

| The ac unit/radio are not in working order. the ac is stuck on at 74 and ranges from blowing air full blast to the lowest setting very sporadically. there is no power to the radio and either of the two can be turned on or off up or down. this is a big inconvenience since we live where it is very hot! also worried that with it being an electrical issue a fire could arise! not very impressed for driving an infiniti and thought they lived up to a better reputation. *tr | |||
