 I contacted michelin per the nhtsa and i did not receive a satisfactory response. my car tires were examine by third party prior to the incident. the service station owner noticed all four tires were dry rotten. he told me i should return them to place of purchase. my vehicle suffering total tire failure. i have occurred about 700.00 in personal costs and i am still on three bad tires. michelin stated that i needed to have my insurance company file the claim. that is not correct. they will not file for my personal costs involve and will not seek payment from michelin. *tr

 Tl* the contact owns a 2006 infinity g35 equipped with michelin pilot tires, size 225/40/r19. the contact stated that while driving 70 mph, she heard a loud popping and a glass shattering noise. the vehicle began to veer off into a wooded area off of the interstate. the vehicle was brought to a stop and was towed to an independent mechanic for diagnosis. the technician stated that the tread on the front driver side tire had started to separate and the sidewall had disintegrated. there was damage done to the rim, front bumper and the under carriage of the vehicle. the manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. the failure mileage was unknown. the vin and dot number were unavailable.
