Clutch on vehicle 2006 g35 coupe with 19,300 miles went bad. read online and researched and found that under 20,000 miles is very low for this to be happening under normal wear and tear conditions. dealership was not willing to cover 4yr - 60,000 mile factory warranty, and was told this was considered normal wear and tear similar to brake pads!! clutch?...brake pads? same?!?! they would only cover if part was found to be defective. had to order replacement parts that were tested to be more durable than oem version of clutch. seems to happen often in this model car and very early on in the vehicles life. *tr

Engine consumes 2.5 qrts oil every 800 miles & only 19-20 miles per gal gas and this decreases with oil consumption. clutch assy faulty/ grinding noise increased with mileage ,windows have binding noise up/down, passenger air bag light does not illuminate when seat is occupied or unoccupied. *nm

Tl-the contact owns a 2006 infiniti g35 coupe.. while driving at various speeds when she shift gears the clutch pedal sticks and the rmps revved up. the failure happened on numerous occasions. the failure happens intermittent. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer and they could not duplicate the failure. the failure continued and the vehicle was again taken to the dealer. the dealer advised her that the clutch needs replacing. the vehicle had not been repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 76,000 and the current mileage was 94,800. vwb

2006 infiniti g35 coupe & sedan other models may be affected, and from research there is. hydraulic clutch fluid boils and contaminates similar to gm problem. this results in the clutch not coming up from the floor all the way. i've searched a lot on the internet seems to be a common problem and as of right now inifiniti claims no knowledge (allegedly). the clutch uses dot3 brake fluid which is being contaminated and turning brown resulting in clutch problem. the fluid is somehow being overheated. it seems replacing the fluid and using dot4 might render a fix. *tr

At ~7,900mi, i took my g35 coupe 6mt to infiniti dealership when i started hearing a knocking noise and noticed that the check engine light would come up every few times a week. i was called in 4 more times after that (every 1,000mi) specifically for oil-level testing. the dealership received an approval to replace the engine, and at 14,500mi, after just about 6 months, i drove out with a new one (10102-ac7m9). i was told to go easy for the initial 12-15k. after driving about 1000mi now, i am running low on oil. i just checked it myself. i plan on taking it to the dealership soon to record it formally. but this is not the only problem i am having, the new engine seems to be a lot louder and a bit sluggish too.. yes.. definitely not the ride i got used too!! *tr
