Warm air was coming out of the vents. i took it to the local infiniti dealer and this was the diagnosis. compressor : clutch failed to engage in compressor & therefore i had no air conditioning. i bought the vehicle new in october of 2006. it only has 35,800 miles. there is no reason for a compressor on any car to malfunction at 35,000 miles and certainly not on a luxury auto. parts were $830, labor was $369, plus tax. total cost of repair was $1354.00. i have owned cars made by ford, gm, toyota, bmw and have never had a compressor problem. i kept an 2002 toyota and a1996 bmw for 10 years with no compressor problems. |
