| I get an err 2 on my 6 disc cd player in my 2001 qx4. i have tried everything to get my cd's to exit the player, no luck. is there a resolution? i have tried pushing all combinations of buttons to release the cds. i just got the err 2 and it has never gone away. cd's will not play or reject, very frustrating, my favorite cds are stuck in player. *tr | |||

| I just want to say to infiniti why they didn't keep on building this car! i mean mine has 111,111 and it stills runs like new no problem at all! i have the infiniti qx4 2001 gold pearl 4x4 navigation system 6 dis cd changer in the back of the car not the one in the dash and this car still performs like when it was taken out of the dealer in 2001.i would like to now why they discontinued the production and just to say the how many more rx300 lexus is going to keep selling before infiniti comes back which a competition! infiniti bring back qx4 now! *tr | |||

| I own a 2001 infiniti qx4. the factory clarion/bose cd head unit is registering an error code err 2 and the cd's won't play or eject. this is the second time in 3 years this has happened. the first time it was covered under warranty. now, clarion won't accept the unit directly from the customer and requires a dealer to repair/install through clarion. i believe this to be fraud. if you search online for qx4 or pathfinder and err 2 you will discover that this is a widespread problem among qx4/pathfinder owners. this unit should be recalled, but nissan and/or clarion are to date refusing to take responsibility for this manufacturing defect or correcting the source problem. this practice is creating artificial demand for a repair service that does nothing but guarantee repeat repair service in the future. my existing unit is labeled remanufactured in the rear, and i assume it was previously repaired for the same reason. i want a replacement without charge. *nm | |||

| I have a 2001 infiniti qx4 with the bose 6 disk cd changer. the cd changer stopped working around 78,000 miles. it would read error2. i have sent numerous emails to nissan with no reply. clarion made this cd player for nissan, but got so overwhelmed with repairs that they stopped taking repairs from customers. now they force you to go through your dealership to get the unit repaired which costs even more money. once the unit reads err2 you cannot retrieve any of your cds and of course the unit will not play the cds either. this web forum http://forum.ecoustics.com/cgi-bin/bbs/show.pl?4/137782 will show you the 100's if not 1000's of people who have been affected. clarion is having a hard time stocking this part, but they nor nissan are offering to fix the unit or admit poor production. i had to use an outside vendor and it still cost me $300. *nm | |||

| Bose/clarion nissan/infiniti in-dash 6 disc changer problems caused by plastic gears being used for loading and disc switching mechanisms. symptoms may be err1, err2, err3, or other err messages along with a clicking sound from the cd changer assembly. this particular cd changer has been repaired at least 3 documented time. i am the second owner and spoke to the previous owner after doing some research. after viewing the service manual and seeing the failed parts, you can see the parts are made of plastic that will eventually get brittle and crack or strip out during normal usage. *nm | |||
