| 2002 isuzu rodeo i have numerous problems with this isuzu. i purchased it new and i am the only driver. vehicle wastes oil, motor heads been replaced, brakes changed several times. transmission changed or repaired. ignition replaced no warning lights about overheating or anything, egr changed. there are so many things i can't remember them all. now the vehicle is making a loud popping noise sounds like from the rear door and the driver side window does not go all the way up. i think i received a lemon! *tr | |||

| These incidents happened with two vehicles of the same make, model but different years. while driving at 25 mph, the consumer applied the brake pedal and felt a thumping sensation in the pedal. when the thumping occurred the brakes failed completely. on both occasions, the consumer had to ride in the shoulder to keep from colliding with other vehicles. *ak the first incident took place when the consumer was approaching a stop sign at a normal speed she stepped on the brakes and there was a thumping under the brake pedal and the vehicle failed stop and slid partially into an intersection. the service rep stated it was from the anti-lock brake system being activated and the brakes performed as designed. *cb also the vehicle failed to start, the dealer found the ground harness on the alternator loose and stripped out which caused the vehicle not to start. the temperature gauge went to the red zone. *jb | |||

| I own a 2002 isuzu rodeo. the abs system in the vehicle has failed 3 times so far.*ak i talked to a few people who own isuzu rodeo and they all have had the same problem. so i believe that this is an inherent problem of the isuzu rodeo .which should be investigated | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2002 isuzu rodeo. the contact experienced failure with the abs. the vehicle would slide 5-10 feet, mainly in inclement weather conditions. the failure occurred while driving between 10-50 mph. the vehicle was repaired in june of 2007. the contact took the vehicle to three different places before the cause of failure was determined. the dealer stated that the abs sensor was causing the failure; however, the failure recurred after the repair was made. the contact had not taken the vehicle back to the dealer for a diagnosis. the purchase date was unknown. the current mileage was 52,887 and failure mileage was 45,000. | |||

| Driver side front brake pads sheared clear of the clips, jammed the rotor to where it could not be turned by hand, broke the seals on the caliper pistons releasing brake fluid. *jb result was a driver side tire that was locked up almost to the point of skidding and no brakes. the vehicle traveled less than 2 miles from the time the problem was first noticed (a strange sound) to the point at which there were no brakes. also, no brake warning light was ever seen by the driver. topped off the brake reservoir, pumped the brakes about 6 times until reservoir was back down to add and still no brake warning light visible on the dash. *jb | |||
