| I have had 5 seprate blow outs hiting small pot holes at speeds of under 35 mph the side walls blew in all cases and in two cases the rims bent . a tire expert told me that the car is to heavy for the tire and rims !!*ak | |||

| Problems with tires on 2003 jaguar x-type. *mr the vehicle hit a pot hole and the front tire went flat. the tire had a slit on the outside, slightly above the treads. another tire had a buldge and was also replaced. one of the replacement tire was losing air. the consumer discovered that this tire also had a slit in the same place as the first two. the incident repeated again and the rim was dented. *sc *jb | |||

| Problems with tire equipment on 2003 jaguar x. *mr when driving twenty miles per hour , the vehicle hit a pothole and the front tire went flat. the tire had a slit on the outside slightly above the treads. during inspection, it turned out that a different tire had a bulge and that also had to be replaced. one of the replacement tires started to lose air. it was discovered that the brand new tire also had a slit in the same place as the first two tires. the vehicle was driven over a pothole again and the next morning the consumer noticed that the tire had a slit in the same place as the others. *sc *jb | |||

| Purchased new in july 2003. numerous problems: vehicle sputtering, brakes grinding 2004. thermostat sticking close overheat. care stopped and had to be towed to shop. a/c recirculation button pops off. transmission slipping, brakes grinding, vehicle would not start october 2006. vehicle makes noise, power steering pinion, transmission still slipping, brakes grinding. mildew odor noticed after repair to power steering. vacuum leak from lower and upper intake valve o-rings. pcv hose collapsing - march 2 and 12, 2007. ignition sticking, remote inoperable, steering clicks when turning - june 2007. car ceased acceleration while driving. towed to dealership. powertrain light on. sub processor unit malfunction and throttle angel error - july 2007. brakes continue grinding, hesitation when accelerating. windows squeak when going up october 2007. compressor part replaced may 2008. car ceased acceleration during peak traffic, unable to move february 2009. only 34,000 on vehicle. *tr | |||

| Had on jag x type conti touring contact 205/55 16 had four of these tires all at separate times have sidewall failures. 2 rear tires had bulges after a pothole. one front tire going into car wash cut sidewall--owner never saw this happen before. another tire recently pulling into parking space curb was scrubbed and it cut sidewall. clearly these tires have very poor sidewall construction. heard problems on the net like this from others as well. *tr | |||

| In summer of 2007, took 2003 x-type to repair shop. all four tires had slits in the side walls wide enough to insert dimes and have them stay there. repair shop replaced tires and said rim too large, tire sidewall too small for weight of car. replaced tires at cost, because i am long time customer. on 9/9/07 had spontaneously sidewall blowout on driver rear tire on i-695 in baltimore on i-95 exit ramp. sidewall had a hole 3 inches in diameter. i had to drive to rest area. repair shop owner said he would sell car if he were me or replace rims with smaller ones. said tire too badly too damaged by driving after blowout to get replacement. *tr | |||
