 Was waiting for a light change, when suddenly my car lurched forward whilse my foot was still on brake, bumping the two cars in front of me. the dsc fault light was on after this happened.stating ``dsc not available``had vechical towed to heritage jaguar in freeport, they replaced the fault brake pressure switch. i now feel very nervous driving sense all this happened.

 Vehicle will intermittently pull hard to the right when braking at highway speeds of 70mph during rain. force will pull vehicle deep into right hand lane. has occurred approximately 8 times since purchase, including purchase date of 4/20/05, when driving home from dealership in boise, id to st. louis, mo. vehicle was a new demo with approximately 1900 miles at purchase. most recent incident occurred may, 2008 with approximately 10,500 miles. vehicle has mainly been driven locally in town and in dry weather at speeds well under 55mph. vehicle currently has approximately 10,600 miles since manufacture. 6,600 miles driven locally since purchase. local dealership has been unable to duplicate defect and has found no problem with vehicle. no corrective action has occurred to date. *tr

 Tl*the contact owns a 2004 jaguar xj8. while driving 5 mph the vehicle would not stop when the brakes were applied this caused him to crash into another vehicle. the road conditions were dry. the contact stated that there was damage to her bumper. the failure occurred on five occasions however only two resulted in a crash. the dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. the first failure mileage was 5,000 and the current mileage was 10,500 when turned in on 05/02/07. updated 02-01-08 *bf the consumer stated each occurrence transmission lost ability to downshift. the consumer further stated had software malfunction and battery had to be replaced twice. the consumer stated he was forced to pay off the last year of the vehicle as the dealer would not excuse him from the last year of payment. updated 02/01/08 *tr

 Dt: 2004, jaguar, xj8. vehicle had to have the brakes and transmission replaced. also, vehicle needed a new starter because the key will not come out of the ignition. after vehicle was taken to the dealership the catalytic converter made a popping noise. there were no other problems with the vehicle to the best of the consumers knowledge. consumer felt that the mechanics working on vehicle were guessing as to the cause of the problem without solving the problem, consumer took vehicle back to the dealer 12 times since purchasing vehicle on june 25, 2005. *ak

 On two separate occasions when brakes were applied vehicle failed to stop and continued to roll. the first time this occurred vehicle stopped before hitting the motorist bumper. the second time the bumper was hit. dealership nor insurance company could not find the cause of the failure.*ak *nm

 Dt*: the contact stated the accelerator and brake pedals were too close together causing accidental and simultaneous depression of both pedals. the dealer was notified. updated 10/17/2006 - the driver side seat belt buckle failed to engage. a new buckle was ordered. the consumer could not remove the lug nuts from the wheel. *nm
