Defect SummaryVehicle description: fold down trailers which use gas/electric absorption refrigerators supplied by norcold. the swivel nut which is an integral connection component of a pressure tap device has stress corrosion cracking.
Consequence SummaryThis cracking can lead to an open fracture in the brass nut, potentially allowing propane gas to leak.
Corrective SummaryDealers will remove the swivel nut/pressure tap component and replace with a remedy kit.

 Tl*the contact owns a norcold refrigerator, model n621. the contact noticed that the refrigerator was not cooling properly. he also observed a yellow residue leaking from the back of the refrigerator. the norcold customer center was notified of the failures. the serial number was excluded from nhtsa campaign id number 02e019000 (equipment:recreational vehicle), although the failures were identical. the refrigerator has not been repaired. the part number was unknown. updated 06/09/09 *bf 1999 jayco eagle. updated 06/09/09.*jb

 While in vehicle was motion propane tank becme deatached, and was still hanging on trailer, and dragging on road. this caused a serious fire hazard. consumer claimed that it was never properly attached at the fatory. *ak

 Seat belt buckle machanism is jammed. ford sent a letter to consumer indicating tht for part f8uz1561203aaa there is not a replacement part available in the usa until late summer if manufacturer of seat belts would be allowed to continue manufacturing . *ak

 While driving 55 mph a noise was heard from rear. consumer pulled over, and noticed rear passenger side tire tread separation. consumer called roadside assistance. firestone , lt225/r16, dot vd1l1x0059. *ak
