I was driving on the highway at 55 mph when the tread on a firestone steeltex r4s (225/75r16) partially separated. this resulted in significant damage to the underside of the vehicle (2000 jayco eagle rv). i am taking the rv to a repair shop later this week but would estimate the damage in the range of a few to several thousand dollars. a spare tire was used to replace the defective tire. i have the defective tire.

Dt: the tread came off the tire around 28,000 miles, tire was up to pressure, but did about 3000.00 to motorhome. *ak
