| Tl-the contact owned a 1998 jeep cherokee. while driving approximately 3 mph the accelerator went to the floor. he stated the vehicle accelerated on its own. he crashed into two vehicles, went over a curve, hit a guide wire then crashed into a fence. he stated he had head injuries. a police report was filed and the vehicle was destroyed. the failure mileage was 117,400. vwb | |||

| Intemittent failure of the speedometer and tachometer as well as the air bag waring light turing on. these conditions were apparently caused by a faulty instrument cluster connector. the connector was replaced with part number 05016261 to correct the fault. it appeared that the service people were familiar with this condition and its' cause.*ak | |||

| My jeep was parked with the engine running to run the ac for approx 5 minutes. it jumped into reverse and raced off (as if someone was seating in the driver's seat with foot on the gas). my friend attempted to jump in to stop it; however, he was thrown onto the ground. the jeep stopped only after plowing into a brand new 2002 chevrolet trailbrazer. hitting the parked trailbrazer was blessing because it stopped the jeep from rolling into a major highway!! i called chrysler to report the accident. their engineer reviewed the wreckage and reported that nothing was wrong with the jeep. what a joke!!!!!!*ak | |||

| Engine stalls while trying to accelerate, stalls while cruise controll is set at certain speed, hesitates as if not getting gas, but has enough fuel, engine service lights comes , when put ing for repairs the technician did an engine clean and the light went off, and then came back on within 24 hours, car back in for engine check and i was tolf there was a bulletin issued by chrysler about the # 7 cylinder misfiring.*ak | |||

| When driving the cruise control kicked on, and it came on/off. whenever it wanted to. also, the air bag sensor light came on, and the light came on and off whenever it wanted. in addition, speedodmeter didn't work, and the consumer had the vehicle in the shop four times for the air bag sensor light. the vehicle is still in the shop and the dealer can't determine the problem. *ak the dash board goes dead while driving because connectors were not seating properly. fuse panel falls off and will not stay on at all because right kick panel is deformed. *yh | |||
