| Consumer states front rotors continue to warp after (2) replacements. when ever the truck hits a bump while traveling 50 mph or above will shake violently. owner is concerned about controlling the truck when this happens. *jb also the upper and lower ball joint was loose which was causing the steering wheel to shake, the transfer case was loose, the gasket and thermostat was replaced due to a coolant leak, cruise control was inoperative, the air condition and heater only blows at defrost vents, the rear luggage rail came out.*jb | |||

| This jeep has had problems since i first bought it. i questioned the dealer about these problems as they arose. i was made to feel that all these things are perfectly natural. this jeep cannot even back up my driveway without squealing, tires and smoking the tires, no matter how slowly i try to go up it. i do not feel safe in this vehicle and would like jeep chrysler to take this vehicle back. i cannot put into 2000 characters all the problems i have had with this vehicle. i have an 11 year old child and thought i was buying reliable transportation. i am very disappointed in the reliablility and the handling of this vehicle. i am afraid to take it on a trip for fear it will quit on me again and strand me in an unsafe place. i have never owned a new vehicle like this before that put the fear of the devil in me like this jeep does. we live in the northeast and should never have to be stranded or put on hold with chrysler emergency roadside assistance for 29 minutes. it took me 3 1/2 hours to warm up. i had severe frostbite due to the mechanical failure i had to endure. *ak | |||

| While driving 45 mph and without warning driver's side window fell down inside of the door frame. consumer was unable to retrieve it. consumer drove the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic informed the consumer that this occurred before. consumer must render payment because this vehicle was not on recall. *ak | |||

| Vehicle is experiencing problems with the electrical system and wiring harness. consumer has purchased vehicle a week ago, and within 4 days vehicle was taken to dealer. dealer has since kept vehicle with no remedy. periodically, the power windows did not work. airbag light would come on and off, and air conditioner would not work. also, vehicle had a gas fume smell after vehicle would not start.*ak | |||

| Contacted chrysler damiler several times, hood paint is chipped under the undercoat on section of 2001 car and chipping off. the service center told me it was due to windshield wiper fluid and that i have to wash my vehicle every day. asked for this in writing they would not give it to me and i contacted district manager several times he would not respond back. this is a truck and it is merchandised as so in their pamphlets. it says this truck can go in mountains beaches ect. why do i have to wash this vehicle everyday in order to stop chipping of paint. could there could be defect. thank you for your assistance*ak | |||
