SEAT BELTS
03/02/2012
There is tearing and fraying of the driver's side seat belt which is causing the belt to get stuck in the loops of the seat belt mechanism and making it difficult to buckle the seat belt. the biggest concern is if it does get stuck and lock into place wherein i cannot move or open the belt due to the fact that it gets tight this is definitely a safety hazard. in addition to which, the seat belt does not retract properly due to the tearing. in addition, the seat belt on the passenger side show signs of tearing also. this is definitely a safety hazard issue especially due to the fact of what has happened on the driver's side is now happening on the passenger side. there is obviously a defect in the mechanics, components and/or material of the seat belts and chrysler is not recognizing this as their responsibility.

 1. i was in an accident in which my vehicle rear-ended another. most of the front end of my vehicle will have to be replaced. the vehicle that was rear-ended is a total loss. 2. at the time of impact i was wearing my safety belt but it did not lock causing my upper body to hit the steering wheel with great force. also none of my air bags deployed. 3. i have contacted the dealership and chrysler to make them aware of the failures. at this time, nothing has been done to correct these problems. *tr
