| On saturday august 6, 2011 while driving at 65 mph the electronic throttle control system malfunctioned and the vehicle would not slow down for 1.5 miles. the cruise control was not in use and the floor mat was in a normal position. the etc warning was on during this malfuction but went off when the vehicle was stopped. during this episode the brakes and lower gears were used to slow down while the rpm was running very high. | |||
