My 1995 jeep grand cherokee limited 4x4 keeps stalling all the time. rough idle when started and check engine light comes on all the time. also, alarm is defective and flashes the exterior lights and honks the horn anytime any of the doors are opened or closed and the power lock button is pushed to lock or unlock. the engine temperature gauge doesn't even show a reading and the factory infinity gold cd radio turns on but no sound. my jeep has a warranty on it right now and these problems have been ongoing since 2/25/06. i've had my jeep to the original dealer where i got it, which has ase certified techs, and also to two authorized jeep dealerships with no resolution to any of these problems and to date have been charged over $450.00 between the three dealerships. i have sent now two e-mails to the chrysler group customer assistance center and the first e-mail i received back brought up two recalls: #747 disc brake rotors #b02 floor shifter secondary system and the second e-mail i got back from chrysler still had no information about the stalling and/or rough idle. this is entirely unacceptable as i have not been able to use the vehicle for quite some time now because of danger to me or others if it would stall while driving, the financial drain and the sheer unreliability. i would like a resolution to this as soon as possible.

Coil of electrical ignition system failed suddenly while vehicle was being operated causing vehicle to stall and loss of power to sterring and brakes this interestingly happened just after the 75,000 warranty expiration. no one was hurt or damage to vehicle. overdrive to vehicle drive section was operating fine until 75,450 just after warranty expired and during trip fro maine to connecticut it unexpectedly began to put itself into overdrive on and off while vehicle was on cruise control set for 65 miles an hour. it became necessary to take vehicle off cruise control and operate vehicle with overdrive on to avoid sudden acceleration at moments when cruising in traffic going same speed, hazardous potential for accident if closer to vehicles or passing vehicles.

When i test drove the vehicle, the electric windows did not work. the dealer had their mechanic look at it and pronounced that the fuse was loose. i subsequently purchased the vehicle and have driven approximately 1,000 miles and the windows did not work today. i checked the fuse and it was very hot. after it cooled down, i started the car and checked to see if the windows would work. they did, but very very slowly for about 1/2 inch. i turned off the vehicle and started it up again to try to roll up the window. i got the window up and checked the fuse again. it was very hot. i suspect there is an electrical wiring problem the dealer did not disclose to me. what should i do? *ak
