Contacted jeep to tell them of our rims that are failing, due to product deterioration and they decided to settle for half of the cost at the first call. these rims are expanding at the mag part of the wheel & separating from the rim. this is my wife's car and i might not be around if they fail & cause an accident. i don't feel i should have to pay a thousand dollars to replace rims that went bad at 22,000 miles. keith bishop *tr

Dt*: the contact stated the tire tread was worn to 3/64 on all four tires after only 10,000 of use. the tires had been rotated by the service dealer and proper pressure had been maintained. the problem was first noticed by the contact who took the vehicle to the service dealer for inspection. the service dealer was unable to determine what caused the wear and recommend taking the vehicle to the tire dealer for inspection. the vehicle was taken to the tire dealer who was also unable to determine what caused the wear, but recommended replacing the tires. updated 7/5/2006 - *nm
