| Driving at night, doing 50 mph when vehicle engine cut off - could not pull off road, apply brakes or steer.towed in. repaired by dealership only to occur again in 6 days when engine would not start at all. again, sent for repair, five days in shop. occurred again the very next day - would not start. has been at dealership another week and they still have no solution to problem. husband is totally disabled and we must have a dependable vehicle. we bought it used with only 37,000 miles on it so we thought it would be almost new. cannot take a chance of the engine cutting off while on a busy highway! | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep grand cherokee. the contact stated that the brake pedal extended to the floor when depressed. she stated that the brakes would squeal and grind each time they were applied. occasionally, the vehicle would not stop until the brake pedal was pumped several times. the failures occurred while driving between 1 and 45 mph. the dealer replaced the abs switch, however, the failure continued. the vehicle has been to the dealer six times and they have been unable to correct the failure. the failure mileage was 8,000 and current mileage was 18,000. | |||

| The contact owns a 2007 jeep grand cherokee. while driving at an unknown speed the contact tried to apply the brakes and nothing happened. the contact hit a rcok wall,the contact hit a pickup at an angle on the front left fender and the wall at the same time, the impact pushed the pickup into a lexus suv.the contacts air bags never deployed.the vehicle came to an abrupt stop.two police officers arrived on the scene. the contact sustained injuries to head, face, neck, shoulder,chest, back, right foream, shins and right ankle. there was a total of three vehicles involved. the contacts vehicle was considered a total loss.the contact later was told there was a recall on the vehicle 06v493000 for the brakes. the current and failure mileage was 4071. | |||
