 Tl- the contact owns a 2012 jeep grand cherokee. the contact was driving approximately 35 mph when the tire warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. the vehicle was parked overnight however, the front passenger's side tire was found to be deflated. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised that the wheel could have been damaged due to the driver's negligence. the vehicle was inspected by an independent mechanic, who advised the contact that the wheel was leaking air due to the welding at the time of manufacturing. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 14,000. kmj

 Tl-the contact owns a 2013 jeep grand cherokee (n/a). the contact stated that while driving 55 mph, the front driver's side wheel disconnected from the vehicle, causing the contact to temporarily lose control of the vehicle. the contact had the vehicle towed to a dealer where the manufacturer investigated the vehicle for impact. the contact stated that the vehicle was not involved in a crash however, the manufacturer was insistent that the damage to the vehicle was caused by an impact. the failure mileage was 16,000. the vin was not available. kmj
