| I was driving my jeeep in traffic when the front drivers seat dropped at the front left corner. the weld on the seat stapped,and now the seat wobbles from front left to back right, worried that the rest will break when im driving and kill someone or myself in a bad accident. read hundreds of the same complains and to me it should be a recall and sort it out before its to late.the jeep dealer did not want to know. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 1999 jeep grand cherokee laredo. the contact stated that the drivers seat was fractured. the body and base of the seat detached from the track causing instability in the seat and continuous movement. the dealer advised repairs could be made to the vehicle but would have to be performed in intervals. the seat could not be replaced with one standard seat. the failure mileage was 120,000 and the current mileage was 152,000. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 1999 jeep laredo. while approaching a stop light, the front driver's side seat detached from its proper position and retracted backwards without warning. the seat was able to move excessively, which increased the risk of serious injury or a crash. the contact noticed that the previous owner welded the seat to its proper position because the mounts were fractured. the vehicle has not been inspected by a technician to determine the cause of the failure. the failure and current mileages were 150,000. | |||

| Bracket to the front driver's seat snaps. very dangerous. happened while driving. why the seat brackets haven't been recalled is a crime. what's more,the dealer wants over$1000 to replace the whole bracket! this isn't right. this is a major safety issue borne out of poor engineering that should be recalled and replaced by chrysler before any potential accidents/fatalities occur. *tr | |||

| Driver seat is broke the tracks are good but the seat frame is split and leans to the right side, the seat mounts are broken. the seat rocks, luckily no injuries have been caused. tried to find a seat went to a local salvage yard and was told many people have been looking for the jeep driver seats , state wide. if chrysler doesn't address this problem soon i am quite sure there will be some law suits. i love my jeep, it has been faithful to me since i bought her. she has 166,070miles on her and have no signs of giving up. *tr | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 1999 jeep laredo. when the contact attempted to sit down on the driver's seat, the right side of the base of the seat snapped. the seat became crooked. six months prior to the failure, the seat was replaced by the dealer. the vehicle has not been diagnosed by the dealer. the current and failure mileages were 108,000. | |||

| 06-10-2008 - the left front bracket of the power seat mechanism to seat frame cracked completely through making the seat wobble badly and the jeep undriveable. there are 4 rotating brackets at the corners and this is one of them. i was fortunate that when it broke, it didn't cause a crash. as this just happened, it has not been repaired yet. the dealer told me that the repair would probably be replacing the entire seat at $ 1,000.00. there were no unusual events that led up to this failure. please contact me at any time for more information. *tr | |||
