While driving at night. headlights go off and on. almost every night. no one knows why it's doing this. sometimes for 3 to 5 seconds. we need a recall on this, to find out why this is happening. jeep dealers don't have answers for us, but they can charge us $ 75 for nothing. some day someone is going to get hurt when lights don't come back on. don't say we didn't warn you. thanks, lee

While driving, the headlights click off then on, off then on. the act is sporadic and comes on with no warning. this is dangerous because the driver ahead of you thinks you are angry at them. i have taken my vehicle to my mechanic. he can not replicate the problem. nor does his computer equipment indicate any malfunction. i know i am not alone with this problem. no one has the solution. *tr

I own a jeep liberty 2004 lights flicker on and off sporadically happens about two times a week. most times it tends to happen either rainy or humid days (ie: early morning)

Headlights spontaneously switch off then back on, sometimes several times in succession. this occurs nearly every time the vehicle is operated with lights on. individual episodes last anywhere from 1-5 sec, occur multiple times during one drive interval. significant safety risk for blind driving (no headlights) and incorrect interpretation of signals to other drivers.

2004 jeep liberty- the headlights will turn off and then back on while driving and there is an audible clicking sound when this happens. it started happening about two years ago. the vehicle now has about 60,000 miles on it. we have had the car to the dealer and an independent mechanic and they both say they can not determine intermittent problems. i just googled about this problem and it is ammazing how many jeep owners have experienced this same problem.
