Tl* the contact owns a 2006 jeep liberty. the contact stated that the driver's side front air bag light was illuminated. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was advised that the failure was caused by a failing clock spring, which would need to be replaced. the dealer also advised the contact that the air bag possibly would not deploy in the event of a crash or could possibly deploy inadvertently and without warning. the contact spoke with the manufacturer and but no assistance was provided. the failure mileage was unknown, but the current mileage was 69,000.

While driving down the freeway at 65 miles an hour both the driver and passenger airbags deployed without warning or any apparent reason. we were able to safely pull off the road and as soon as the smoke cleared from the vehicle we drove it to the nearest jeep dealer they are currently looking at it but haven't got back to us yet.
AIR BAGS - SIDE/WINDOW

I have a 2006 jeep liberty. the other day i head a noise when i was letting the window down. the widow was stuck and wouldn't go down or up. i got out of my jeep and touched the rear passenger window and the window moved up and down when i tried to let the window up. i had to place card board in the window's frame to keep the window up. the next day the window fell into the window's frame and i can't get it out. this is my second night with my rear window down in my jeep. i don't have the money to repair the window right now and i'm afraid that a thief will enter my vehicle. i was surprised that this could be happening to a 2006 vehicle. i decided to research the issue on the internet and was surprised to find out that this was a common and expensive problem with jeep libertys. why are jeeps not being recalled due to this dangerous and expensive problem?
