Tl*the contact owns a 2006 jeep liberty. the contact received a recall notice in december of 2006 (f23). since then, she has been unable to have her vehicle serviced. the dealer stated that nothing can be done because the parts are unavailable. she has notified various dealers in the area and they have provided the same response. the contact stated that the recall notice only has f23 on it and does not specify what is being recalled. she asked the dealer what the defect pertains to and they stated that no additional information was available. the current mileage is 6,000 and failure mileage was 3,000.

From the date i picked up the car, the brakes gave off a moan. this is a recognizable noise, as a brake problem. this occurs mostly in colder weather but is loud and particularly evident when i first take the car out of the garage in the morning when backing up. i have had it back to the dealer at least 5 times for this problem. the dealer has worked with the manufacturer, changes the components to no avail. the manufacturer has washed their hands of the problem but the noise is still there. *jb
