I own a 2007 jeep liberty sport, with no warranty. a few months ago, the rear, driver side window regulator and motor went bad and i had to replace this out of pocket. what is more frustrating is that this has happened to my driver front widow now. since my last repair, larry h. miller jeep in sandy utah has inflated the price of the part. they are very aware of the need of this faulty part and are taking advantage of customers. i now have no window (it is cracked inside my door and i am not in financial position to replace it). it is approximately 30 degrees in my state right now, this is almost unbearable. i have also owned a 2006 jeep liberty prior to this and the rear driver window regulator and motor also went out. i also had to replace this at my cost. this makes three times for the same part! i am asking for a recall and for the dealership to replace this at no additional cost to me. i feel it is already unfair that they provide a bad part, but even worse that they inflated the price part recently and are taking advantage of consumers. this is also unsafe, i have to drive with a garbage bag to my window which blocks my line of sight, but is the only way to keep dry in this fall/winter weather. please help me, i am at a loss right now and this is my only means of transportation. the dealership's number for where i purchased the vehicle is: (866) 653 3505. thank you again. thank you *tr

When going to put the drivers window down, i accidentally pushed the switch for the back seat window behind the driver's seat. when i hit the switch it made a funny noise. so, i left the window alone with plans to get it fixed. the window was up at this point. i went to work and when i returned to my car at the end of the day, the window was all the way down. i attempted to put it up using the switch and it made the same funny noise. *tr

The rear passenger window regulator failed and the window dropped. it is currently being held in place with zip ties as the repair will be about $300. both the passenger and driver front windows are slow to go back up and come off track. you have to pull them towards the back of the car to get them back up. i expect both to fail soon. i have read numerous complaints about this very issue.

Tl- the contact owns a 2007 jeep liberty. the contact stated that all four window regulators failed and needed replacement. the believed the failure to be a manufacturing defect because all four regulators failed. the vehicle was not repaired. the current mileage was 103,000 and the failure mileage was unknown. kmj

Random events of the electronic throttle control lamp flashing and the traction control lamp illuminating. the vehicle would stall to a rough idel or loss of power and an inability to accelerate. on occasion the vehicle would die and would not restart. this occured while driving at speeds of 65 mph in heavy traffic on hot spring days. the manufacture has not been able to correct the problem after five attempts.

I was looking at other complaints and noticed a similar problem with the electric windows. we repaired one window and are saving up to repair the next. it is absurd how much this costs to repair.

I purchased a new 2007 jeep liberty and the vehicle did not come from the factory with a trailer hitch or wiring harness. on june 14, i had the dealer install the chrysler recommended harness. the harness they installed is the one chrysler supplies and requires for vehicles with an overhead console, which my vehicle is equipped with. it is a seven-way harness, specified as mopar part number 82207248. after the harness was installed by the dealer, i noticed that the running lights on my trailer were not working. i took it to a dealer who tried several times to fix it, but was unsuccessful, even with advice given by the chrysler technical hotline. when i called chrysler

We have a new 2007 jeep liberty limited, purchased last march. immediately we noticed that the speedometer was inaccurate and always reading fast. this was noticeably evident as we passed through safety and school zones that show the car speed on the roadside. i had the dealer check it out and they couldn't find any problems. so we started measuring using roadside mileage markers and a timer. we found that at 60 miles/hour it took 315 seconds to go 5 miles. that's 5% @ 60 mph or 3 mph. we also found that it was also off by 3 mph at all other speeds too, so at 30 mph that turned out to be 10%. that's unacceptable ! however chrysler says that's acceptable and in fact points out in a printed reply that the government allows that degree of accuracy now assuming my average speed is about 45 mph, 3 mph is a 7.5% inaccuracy. i also purchased a long term warranty agreement from chrysler and i will be short changed on that by 7.5% also and that's fraud! all i want is for the chrysler to fix the algorithm that computes the speed and odometer reading. the only variable the dealer can adjust is the tire size. does the government safety standards allow for 7.5% inaccuracy? *tr

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 jeep liberty. the contact received a recall notice a month ago in regards to the blower motor. she has attempted to schedule an appointment to have the recall repaired, but the dealer stated that there is a waiting list because the parts are unavailable. the current and failure mileages were 1,998. the consumer still has not been contacted about getting the vehicle fixed. updated 09/05/07. *jb
