2007 jeep liberty. 4th time window regulators failed in past three years. all windows once and same windows twice.. on 10/08/10 while traveling south on i 95. windows were in full upright position, when out out no where, the front passenger window dropped . two minutes later the rear drivers side dropped out. i had to drive 100 miles home like that. . very scary . dealer people know about the problem but said no recall yet.. i guess someone has to die and sue them before they will recall. soooo many people have same complaint. please help us before someone gets really hurt.. thank you. i do not know the part # but had to put something in to complete this survey or it wouldn't let me continue. i believe jeep uses mopar parts, unknown part# for regulator part.. please help...

Power windows will start to have more difficulty working. then, when trying to use the windows they will make a loud noise and the window will cease to work. the window may even fall into the door and out of reach. the regulator and possibly even the window glass will need to be replaced. this has happened to 2 of my windows in less than a year. it is faulty and dangerous. there needs to be a recall.

For the fourth time the power window regulators on my 2007 jeep liberty have broken one by one, the vehicle's warranty has expired and jeep will not take reponsibilty for this defect. during warranty period all regulators were replaced one by one and now my passenger front window is broken again and i can hear the other windows that are about ready to give in again

My window regulator keeps breaking allowing my windows to fall into the door frame. i will be driving down the road and hear a load noise and look and see that one of my windows has fallen again. my young son likes to stick his hand out the window when it falls and it worries me that his hand could hit something outside the vehicle. this has happened to my car 3 times and the dealer told me that it wasn't a safety issue. i think when i am having to look around and see where noises are coming from and having to monitor my son non stop so he doesn't put his hand out the window, i am definitly not focused on my driving. this is a fairly new car, no warrenty, but the problem started under warrenty, and continues. now they want me to pay for something that was wrong from the manufacturer and something the manufacturer couldn't fix while it was under warrenty.

On two separate occassions, a window on my 2007 jeep liberty broke (the front and rear driver's side windows). as i was rolling the window up or down, it suddenly started making a loud noise and stopped working. the first time it happened, i thought it might just be off track, but i was told by a repair shop it is a faulty regulator that jeep is not doing a recall for. with the 2nd window, i knew immediately what had happened. i currently have a third window that is making odd noises when i try to use it.

For the 3rd time, the window of my 2007 jeep liberty has stopped working and is dropping into the door! in fact, at this moment, both of the back windows dropping into the door and the motor will not work. the first time it happened to my driver side front window, the car was under warranty. now it is not and i am mad!!!!! when i called dealer to find out how much the motor would be they told me that design had changed and i would have to buy the windows too. this is crazy i have now learned on the internet and by talking to people that this is a common problem with jeep/chrysler with different years involved too. this is crazy what is it going to happen before they will issue recall some child get hurt by glass breaking or cause and accident. also, since window is messed up the lock system on driver side back door is also messing up. unknown if related. chrysler jeep needs to do a recall on this problem, fix all windows once and for all so we have peace of mind while we drive!

Passenger side window in front made a loud noise and went down when rolling down power window. then one by one each of my trucks window did the same thing. none of the windows will roll back up. when i called the dealership she was aware told me this happens to all of those types of vehicles and when i replace them more than likely it will happen again. to fix the regulators in all four windows will be 350-500 per window to repair. the regulator from what i understood is a small plastic piece in these specific trucks that break all the time.
