(draw test indicate power draw, radio not going to sleep replaced radio). dealership has been servicing vehicle on regular basis ,2010 electrical problems still happen and even more when weather is cold. we keep replacing the battery...but why should i need to put a new battery in every year, | |||

| Sudden engine acceleration incident. my wife and i were leaving a parking lot. after backing out of my parking space i drove for about 1 minute to a stop sign. i put the manual transmission in neutral and waited for a car to exit the intersection and for some pedestrians to cross. suddenly, without touching the accelerator, the engine began to race. i looked at the tachometer. the engine that normally idles at about 600 rpm was running at 2500 rpm. i sat at the stop sign for a few moments and decided the throttle must have stuck. with the stick shift in neutral i tapped the accelerator hoping to unstick the throttle. the engine roared to 3500 rpm and stayed there for 10-20 seconds. then the rpms started to drop back down to normal idle.. weather was clear and dry temperature 60 degrees, time 3 pm. it was scary. if the transmission was in gear when the engine took off, i would have taken off. i'm afraid to drive this car. | |||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2008 jeep liberty. while the contact was driving at night approximately 55 mph; the horn sounded, front and rear windshield wipers engaged, and the rear window washer pump activated dispensing washer fluid. the unexpected failures occurred without assistance. when the speed rate was reduced the failures no longer persisted. the vehicle continued traveling and fifteen minutes later, the accelerator pedal was engaged, followed by no engine power. suddenly, the entire instrument panel warning light indicators illuminated. while the vehicle was in operation the failures reset on its own. in addition, on two separate occasions the failures involving the horn, windshield wipers and wiper washer fluid activation occurred when accessing the vehicle with the remote key entry. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer. the vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired at the time of the complaint. the failure mileage was approximately 38,000. js | |||

| Jeep liberty 08, engine hesitate and runs rough when driving at a steady 42-mph and trying to accelerate. test was performed by tech and concern was verified. tech contacted engineers and was advised to replaced torque converter. torque con. was replaced but still have the same problem with the vehicle. nothing changed. this is the second attempt to fix this problem. first on january and now in april 14, 2009. vehicle bought on november 28, 2008. *tr | |||
