Defect SummaryChrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 chrysler sebring; dodge avenger and nitro; jeep liberty, commander and grand cherokee; and model year 2009-2010 dodge ram truck. these vehicles may have been built with an improperly formed or missing brake booster input rod retaining clip.
Consequence SummaryThis could result in brake failure without warning which could cause a crash.
Corrective SummaryChrysler will replace the brake booster input rod retaining clip free of charge. the safety recall is expected to begin during february 2010. owners may contact chrysler at 1-800-853-1403.

Defect SummaryChrysler is recalling certain model year 2010 left hand drive jeep liberty, dodge nitro and ram 1500 truck; right and left hand drive jeep wrangler vehicles. these vehicles may have been built with an improperly formed master cylinder to hydraulic control unit (hcu) brake tube assembly end flare.
Consequence SummaryThis could lead to loss of brake fluid and reduced braking performance increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the brake tubes free of charge. the safety recall is expected to begin during august 2010. owners may contact chrysler toll-free at 1-800-853-1403.

 Tl - the contact owns a 2010 jeep liberty. the contact was driving approximately 5 mph when the accelerator pedal became stuck as the vehicle rapidly accelerated. the contact shifted into neutral to stop the failure however, the vehicle continued to accelerate. the contact merged to the shoulder and powered off the vehicle. the vehicle was able to be restarted and was towed to the dealer for diagnostic testing. the technician advised the contact that the accelerator sensor needed to be replaced. the vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred one year later. the manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact that the vehicle was not included in any recalls. the vehicle was not repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 18,000 and the current mileage was 23,000. kmj

 While backing down a driveway, my brand new jeep liberty's service brake did not work and i was only stopped after hitting a pole. there is currently a recall for my make, model, and year; however, my specific vehicle (acccording to chrysler) should be effect-- though my accident fits the recall description perfectly.

 Tl* the contact owns a 2010 jeep liberty. while driving approximately 30 mph, the contact applied the brakes to avoid a crash but the brakes did not respond and the contact crashed into the preceding vehicle. the contact suffered a black eye, a swollen nose and a bruised right arm due from the impact of the air bag when it deployed. the ambulance reported to the scene but the contact did not seek medical attention. the police reported to the scene and a police report was filed. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 12,292.

 Tl-the contact owned a 2010 jeep liberty. while driving approximately 35 mph he stated the vehicle in front of him stopped and he engaged the brakes and the brakes failed. he stated he crashed into the vehicle in front of him. the contact stated the other vehicle had no bumper and that was the reason his vehicle was destroyed. he stated no one was injured in either vehicles. a police report was filed. the failure and current mileage was 1,000. vwb

 On july 12 i bought a new 2010 jeep liberty, on august 19 i received a safety recall (k15) master cylinder brake tube(s), from customer services field operations, the notice states that the work will take about 1/2 hour to complete . i call the dealer were i bought the new car and told them about the recall, and they told me that they are confronting an unusual flow of repairs and that for this reason they will not be able to take any unit for repair for the next 2 weeks. what should i do, stop the only vehicle that i use for work for 2 weeks.

 We own a jeep liberty 2010 that is covered under a brake recall nhtsa campaign id number: 10v009000 . we called the dealership and the company and were told they were not honoring this recall we are very concerned since it says the brakes may suddenly fail and don't understand why the company is not doing this recall as announced. *tr
