I was sitting in my car pulling it out of garage when a sharp metal bar pushed up thru the drivers seat, injuring left leg. i reported it to chrysler and one dealer who services my car santa maria jeep, who has the pictures. they failed to respond, i notified chrysler hq, was given several misleading stories on what to do. they said they are sending a vehicle engineer to my home to exam and photo the problem, his name is dale brown 805-534-0576, he called and then refused to come and exam the vehicle, wanting me to drive it 30 miles to a dealer ? so he could see it their ? he only lives down the road from my home so why make we drive a unsafe, defective dangerous vehicle ? i am a disabled veteran and he still refused. chrysler also refused to do anything, they called yesterday admitting they knew of the defects and that i should not report this to any regulatory agency since they will in 5 or so days try to figure out what to do ??? i was told by two chrysler employees they do not want a file or complaint on this issue since it could cause a national recall and cause panic in the public not to buy or drive jeep's and as of today they have not done anything to assist. they seem more interested in concealing the defects and not helping the injured party or fixing the defect. this is a very dangerous defect and had i been on the freeway it could have been fatal or worse than it is now. i believe this is a very serious defect and chrysler knows it and is hiding it. *tr
