2007 jeep liberty - window regulator, window regulator fails at random. has occurred at least 5 times in two years, currently i pay $100/incident to have this repaired (because it is in warranty). this has become so common that chrysler has advised dealerships to replace the regulator with an updated model at customer's expense, which has occurred with both of my rear windows. now my driver's side window has failed for the second time and will have to be repaired this upcoming week.

2007 jeep liberty sport - failure of window regulators i have had multiple failures of the window regulators that are internal to the doors and regulate the operation of the electric windows up or down. upon failure, the windows fall into the door frame (either partly or wholly). this may happen at any time and may not occur during normal operation of the windows. considering the sporadic occurrence of this fault, it can possibly injure a passenger and/or driver and may distract the driver during operation of the vehicle, thus being a safety hazard. the jeep company is aware of this design flaw in their vehicles (2002 - 2007) but has refused to do a recall (they currently have tsb #2303807) issued. this is associated with nhtsa item number: 10022629

2007 jeep liberty (windows slide down about every three months) near accident was raining when window began to slide town ran off road when attempting to push window up. i have checked internet there are thousands of complaints on this issue. i know it has to be a safety concern before recall. what about chidren in the back seat rocks or debris of any kind could cause eye injury. chrysler is aware of problem but refuse to recall.

2007 jeep liberty. the window regulators break and windows fall down and can't be raised. it appears the regulators need to be replaced at a cost of $500 per window.

We bought our 2007 jeep liberty limited in november 2007, in the first 6 months we took it to the dealer to have the windows fixed 3 times as they kept falling off the tracks. first it was the passenger front window, second was the drivers window, and the third time was both rear windows. on all 3 occasions we took the vehicle in for servicing of the windows, the window motors were replaced and the tracks were either cleaned or replaced. i notified jeep of the troubles i was having with the windows regardless of the repairs already done and was advised that there was no recall on such issues as it did not impose a safety threat. on one such incident when one of the rear passenger windows fell off it's track, my 3 month old son was sitting in his car seat next to the window, normally this may not have imposed any safety threat to him except that we happened to be traveling at a time when there was a huge extremely windy monsoon storm in process...i beg to differ that this did not impose a possibly extremely dangerous safety situation for my 3 month old baby as he was pelted by heavy rain and wind until i could reach a destination to get him to safety. jeep needs to take ownership and accountability for their poor workmanship and design of the window structures in jeep liberty and any other jeep vehicles that have this same issue!

I have now had 3 of my windows fall down into the doors resulting in extremely costly repairs in my 2007 jeep liberty. upon reading many other complaints i see chrysler is quite aware of this problem. it is veryscary when driving down the road and it happens. i am very thankful this did not cause a severe mishap, but the potential is there.

Drivers side front window regulator broke on our 2007 jeep liberty and now the window will not stay up. this is a safety issue because the open window allows for inclement weather to enter the vehicle thus distracting the driver from the focus of driving. this also presents vandalism and theft issues. the dealership wants $300+ to replace not just the part but the entire window assembly including glass, to say nothing of the labor costs. i have read in several places of hundreds of other people with the same problems and have come to the conclusion that there needs to be a recall of this component.

After only a few hundred miles on my new 2007 liberty, the passenger front window failed, due to a faulty regulator, in november 2007. the dealer repaired it under warranty but said it was a common problem with this vehicle. after minimal use, the rear driver window failed for the same reason about 8 months later. i could manually push it up but it would fall after a few minutes of driving. the window may have been up and down a dozen times in total before failing. this is a real safety concern, and it is disgusting that such a broadly acknowledged defect is not being handled responsibly by chrysler. *tr
