| 2007 jeep patriot 4x4 with almost 37k miles needs new rear brakes and ball joints. repair is approximately $1,000. this has never been taken off roading although it is trail rated . brakes and ball joints should not fail so soon and the consumer should not have to pay such a high repair cost. jeeppatriot.com and other sites have several complaints on the same issue. this could be a serious safety issue, especially if there were an inexperienced driver at the wheel! | |||

| Whistling sound when air is on (not necesarily ac). high pitched whistling sound is evident any time air is blowing on highest or next to highest setting. a little annoying... sometimes enough to move it to a lower setting just to reduce whistling sound. | |||
