 When filling up the vehicle at any and all gas stations, when the fuel pump handle clicks off automatically, a fairly large splash-back of gasoline exits the filler port and flows onto the vehicle, my hand, and the ground.

 Starting months ago whenver i fill my tank at the gas station, fuel overfills when full. it happens at every station now everytime. i can put the fill lever at a lower fill rate and it still happens. i have the fill nozzle in all the way or out half way or in between and it does not matter. it leaks out about 6 - 12 oz down the vehicle. the entire vehicle smells like gas everytime.

 When filling with gas, before the tank approaches full, gasoline spews out around the filler nozzle all over the side of the jeep. now that this problem has started, it occurs every time i fill up. i have had the jeep for about a year and it was fine until recently. chrysler has extended the warranty for jeeps with this problem for jeeps made between march 2007 and march 2008. my jeep was made in may of 2008 so it is not covered. i have read on the net that many people with this issue have had the gas tank replaced and it has solved this problem. this is a dangerous situation and i am not sure what to do about it.

 Just purchased a 2008 rubicon and when i go to fill up the gas tank, there is always overflow after the pump shuts off due to being full. the gas splashed out all over my pants leg the first time and still overflows onto the side of the car and pavement.

 When you fill the jeep up it always spits fuel on the ground and you if your standing too close. not a little a lot.

 Fuel does not shut-off at fuel pump and gas spills out every time i re-fuel. the dealership didn't fix this when i recently had the vehicle serviced because it wasn't a re-call. i have since complained and it will be fixed under warranty during my next visit.

 The vehicle when filling with gasoline overflows each and every time regardless of filling station used. this is a known jeep wrangler problem for 2007-2008 models but chrysler is not correcting the problem for vehicles built after march 31,2008. my build date is 06-08. i don't know what changed after 3/31/08 but the problem exists for jeeps built after that date. this is an extremely dangerous condition both public safety and environmental. dealer wants $100 to diagnose problem. chrysler needs to step up and fix this known safety defect.

 At approximately 30,000 miles a problem started where i can no longer fill my gas tank because no gas pumps will stop on their own. once the tank is full gas will continue to pump until i physically stop the pump. this did not happen for the first 30,000 miles and just started to happen for no appearant reason. i now judge how much gas i think i need and stop the pump prematurely.

 Every time i fill up my 2008 jeep wrangler, fuel spills out of the filler neck. i took the jeep to the dealer who told me that the vent valve in the fuel tank is sticking and that i needed to replace the entire tank to correct the problem.

 2008 jeep wranger jk (2 door). gas leaks out of top of the filler neck when filling the jeep up with gas. the auto shutoff on the gas pump clicks and then there is prob 1/4 to 1/2 gallon of gas spilling down the side of the car. intermitten problem and its not beacuse im topping the tank off. there seems like there is something wrong with the car because it happens at all different gas stations with or without the rubber cover on the gasoline pump filler neck.

 2008 jeep wrangler x. lately when i fill up the gas tank it overflows. i've had the jeep since september 2007. the last 4 fillups this has been an issue at multiple stations. it overflows if i hold it manually, or use the locking mechanism on the fuel gun. it overfills even when it clicks off. this has to be dangerous. i am now in the habit of putting in less gas so as not to deal with gasoline spilling out of my tank and all down my fenders and bumpers. this is not safe. there are many complaints out there. chrysler should issue a recall for this problem. gasoline fumes and cars are not something that should be taken lightly. *tr
