While driving on the interstate highway at 65 mph the electrical system had a control system failure event (this is the third event in 4 days), causing the windshield washer to spray washer fluid onto the windshield dramatically reducing driver visibility, the windshield wipers did not function properly, they only traveled about one-quart inch in time with the horn chirping. the wipers did not function properly even when turned on directly by the driver to address the washer fluid discharging onto the windshield unexpectedly. the driver exited the freeway to the emergency shoulder to avoid an accident. the electrical failure event and the drivers occluded visibility cause by the unexpected discharge of washer fluid and non-properly functioning windshield wipers lasted for the duration of the unexpected electric control system failure event of about 4 mins.. there was no failure indication on the dash panel and no warning that the failure had occurred to the driver. the event was unexpected and without warning and occurred while the motor vehicle was being operated. service appointment with dealer for the vehicle's electrical control system failures has been scheduled. in my opinion this is a major safety concern that has already or is very likely to result in injury or a fatality. no vehicle system when experiencing any type of failure mode should be able to operate any system on the vehicle in an unsafe and/or unexpected way or really any manner.

Experienced the notorious death wobble again today. this has happened plenty of times to me, but today it was the most severe and worrisome. the vehicle shakes and rattles so much that i expect pieces to fall off. other cars pull up to me on the highway off ramp (where it often happens on our bumpy massachusetts roads) and ask if everything is okay. i'm not sure if i would buy this jeep again. they really need to fix this. articles online seem to suggest that it is the stock track bar, and if so, why won't chrysler just replace them?

I have been in the shop 6 times since dec 2011 for numerous problems. now we have had it in the shop 2 times in less then 1 week for it not starting. i have put a ton of money in my postal jeep and out of work due to this problem. finally had it towed bc all the lights on the dash came on. i need this for my job and chrysler could care less. i am beginning to process the lemon law on it. i have put a new battery and cables and had to have it diagnosed 3 times. i am fed up! ( on a sad note i have only owned this car 6 months and have put $3700 in it on what the warranty will not cover.

Severe vibration in front end of unmodified 2008 jeep wrangler x when hitting a bump on highway. forced to slam on breaks on highway to stop violent shaking and regain control of vehicle. it started a couple months ago and happens any time i hit a big bump. it happened 3 times yesterday. i googled this and it appears this is a rather common complaint - one that seems to be particularly common in the newer style jeeps at around 20,000-30,000 miles even when no modifications have been made. this is very dangerous and if its this common, chrysler should be forced to address this!

On two separate occasions my unmodified 2008 jeep wrangler x has given me an audible ding warning and the airbag warning light came on and stayed on while stuck in very slow moving highway traffic (approximately 0-10 mph). both times it was approximately 85-90 degrees f outside and the air conditioning was off. the second time this happened the hot oil warning recall fix had already been performed but i did not receive that warning nor did the temperature gauge rise more than half the width of the needle. on the second occasion the ding and airbag warning light came on repeatedly over a period of a half an hour each time traffic slowed down.

I don't know who to contact or what to do, i was the owner of a 2008 jeep wrangler i have owned it since 9/11/08 i ordered it brand new from factory through a dealer. yesterday may 31, 2008 at around 630 pm or so. i was driving to a local state park when my vehicle burst into flames in the engine compartment area, while i was driving about 45mph down a gravel rode. there was a pop and the vehicle lost drive power at the same time the flames shot out from under the drivers side engine compartment. i stopped the vehicle in the middle of the dirt road jumped out and grabbed my cell phone and called 911. no one was injured from it lucky but i am concerned that the vehicle being less then a year out of the factory would do that. i live in missouri valley, ia thanks for your time, scott ortiz *tr
