| 2009 jeep wrangler hesitates when accelerating, sometimes loses power, and/or bucks randomly. when starting from a stop, the vehicle will take some time to start accelerating, with the delay being in the order of 2 seconds or more. when merging, the vehicle sometimes loses power if you step on the accelerator hard. when driving the vehicle and accelerating gently, it sometimes hesitates or 'bucks' and then gains power. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2009 jeep wrangler 4x4. the contact stated that there was no heat shield underneath the exhaust system. while driving at an unknown speed, he detected smoke coming from the exhaust pipe. he pulled the vehicle over and noticed flames. there was minor damage to the hoses and wires. the dealer recommended that the vehicle not be driven. the vehicle was then towed to a repair shop and the mechanic stated that the vehicle was designed properly. the vehicle has not been repaired. the dealer also stated that there were no recalls for this vehicle and that it was an issue for the insurance company. the failure and current mileages were 2,000. | |||
