I guess i am writing with more than one issue. sorry for the inconvenience of such a long explanation but i thought long and hard before delving into this. i purchased my 2007 jeep wrangler unlimited x 4-door 2wd in october of 2006. i was one of the lucky victims that while going 70 mph, the entire jeep shut down and then restarted on it's own. this happened twice. took it in once, i got the i'm sorry look and was let go. didn't even bother with the dealership the second time and finally was lucky enough not to have a wreck before the recall was sent. within one month, not more than 1200 on the vehicle, it would not start. called tow trucks twice. each time, it took the tow truck 30-45 minutes to arrive and in that time frame, with repeated efforts, i was able to get the vehicle to start. this has not happened again for about 6 - 9 months then came february 2007. it was about 45 degrees outside and i walked out to get the mail. as i looked up at the jeep, i was stopped dead in my tracks and did not even want to face what i knew had happened. right below where the windshield starts, right above the hood, on the drivers' side was an approximate 1 crack. i went back outside 3 times thinking maybe i thought i was seeing something that wasn't really there. within one week, the crack had extended up about 1/2 and cracked horizontally about 4 inches across. so sorry again for the long, indepth letter. i just don't know what to do anymore. would really appreciate some advice. lana jackson lawton oklahoma *tr
